Flex is an opensource development framework from Adobe that allows the creation of so called Rich Internet Applications that run in the Flash Player or within AIR.
The Adobe Flex User Group is a loose community of people working or being interested in the Flash platform, particularly in the Flex framework. We meet monthly in Wellington, usually on the second Wednesday of each month. Most of the meetings will feature one or two presentations discussing various topics about Flex or topics that are sort of associated with Flex (Flash Player, hooking Flex into various backends on the server, other RIA technologies etc.)
