Python Users' Group
New Zealand Python User Group (NZPUG) Wellington
http://nzpug.org/MeetingsWellington
The next meeting (which is the first Wellington meeting for a lot of folks) will be:
Jan 8th, 7pm at Level 3, Catalyst House, 150 Willis St - (map)
There will be two short talks, one an intro to Python and the other will probably relate to Python 3.0.
The first will be given by O'Reilly author Noah Gift who recently came to Wellington from the back-country wilds of urban Georgia in the US where he helped to sustain the Python community there.
Anyone interested in giving a short talk on the night is welcome. There will be a screen and a projector.
One important discussion point will be what we want to do as a group going forward and what we want to get out of a regular meeting like this.
If you can't make Jan 8th, the next one will probably be Feb 12th, that being the 2nd Thursday of the month which seems like a schedule to keep.
Important note about the venue:
* The front door is locked after 6pm. We'll have someone on hand to let folks in from about 6:45 til a few minutes past 7pm. If you're running late, send me (reed) a txt at 021-059-1872 when you arrive and we'll fetch you.
* beer and minor snacks will be provided courtesy Catalyst, IT beer and minor snacks department
